Halloween 2012

HALLOWEEN is as good of a place as any to start out this year's school blog.  Sorry it has taken me so long to get it all together (I'm still trying to get it all together so don't let this fool you!).   I love Halloween in first grade.  I will let you in on a secret...not very many teachers enjoy Halloween.  Too loud!   Too crazy!  Too much candy!  Wild kids!  But, I adore it.  I love to see the costumes and the excitement of all the children.  Plus, I really like getting dressed up too...and, I really like candy!

Just look at all of these little dolls:

Anthony the Ninja.  Lily the Bee.  Colby the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
Hatziri the Fairy.  Makinna the Bat.  Ava the Witch.
Jacob the Jedi.  Alfredo as Luiji.  Sam as Darth Vadar.

Jose the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.  Vannessa as Minnie Mouse.  Eric the Ninja.
Liam the Jedi.  Molly the Purple Witch.  Victoria as the Candy Corn Witch.
Annie the Fairy.  Farmer the Pirate.  Amelia as Sleeping Beauty.

Karem the Bee.  Carlos the Power Ranger.  Ellie the Cowgirl w/a horse you can't see.

The party was out of this world great!  We have the BEST parent volunteers in our class.  I hate to compare but, let me just say that we had double (or triple) the parents at our party compared to the other classes.  And, since this is OUR blog, we can say that here, right?

Thank you so much to:  Liam's mom for organizing our party, bringing treats, and reading books.  Alfredo's mom for making ghosts with us.  Molly's mom for playing "Put the Wart on the Witch".  Makinna's mom for playing a cool memory game with us.  Farmer's grandma for the fun pots full of treats we got to decorate.  Colby's dad for coming and helping out. Jacob's mom for snapping some pictures.  If I forgot someone, I'm sorry and please let me know so I can add you.
And...finally, a visit from the Evil Queen from Snow White.

The three Disney gals.
The entire first grade team of teachers plus, student teachers.  Ours is Princess Leia!
The Evil Queen with our class mascot, Eloise as Cinderella.
